Systems Analyst I UHS
Responsibilities Perform analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of Information System applications which are moderately complex using vendor supplied tools and necessary coding language/programming tools. Perform systems software installation and maintenance tasks. Provide general support and problem solving for hospital applications/systems. Monitor quality management and improvement. Education/training of users in the functions and capabilities of hardware and software. Maintain knowledge of development tools, applications in Information Systems and departmental processes and procedures. Assist in training support for Analyst Programmers and other department staff. Monitor trends and technological changes in the computer industry in order to make recommendations for the acquisition of computer hardware and software.
Associate college degree in Computer Science or related healthcare or technology field required; Bachelors preferred. Two to three years of programming or applicable experience in the computer or health related field (hardware and software requirements will depend on the specific position); PCMH experience preferred within desired area of expertise. Additional years of experience, beyond the minimum requirement of at least two years, may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis. Appropriate certification(s) may be substituted for the required education as long as the experience is met. Equivalency of certification to education will be determined based on the specific certification. One additional year of relative education may be substituted for one year of the required experience with a maximum substitution of two years.
