Supv Polysomnography

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate Sleep Center services under the supervision of the Sleep Center manager. Maintain adequate supervision of Sleep Center employees
and their job performance as well as delegating tasks and duties to each individual. Responsible for the performance of quality work in the following area: Polysomnography, Multiple Sleep Latency Test, Maintenance Wakefulness Test, Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Transcutaneous monitoring, and oxygen delivery.
Performs routine sleep testing procedures.

Supports philosophy of sleep medicine to better provide quality patient care. Follows up with new employee and preceptor to re-evaluate as appropriate. Supervises delegated care based on abilities and limitations of health care personnel and patient activity and acuity. Performs routine Sleep Studies to include: Polysomnography, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure(CPAP/BILEVEL)Titration, Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Transcutaneous Monitoring, and oxygen delivery with assistance of Technician or Technologist per Procedure protocols.
Graduate of an AMA approved Neurology, RPSGT, or Respiratory program with four to five years of experience in the Sleep Medicine field required. Certification in CPR required. One year of previous supervisory experience preferred.
