Responsibilities The individual filling this position provides support to address, analyze issues or projects relevant to the computerization, business and goals of Respiratory Care Services in SMS. Assist with the development, implementation, maintenance and long range planning of computer applications. Provides Healthspan computer training and support to Respiratory Staff and Students. Prepares work Schedules for Respiratory Care staff in accordance with dept staffing guidelines. Develop and maintain databases of information as requested to track and trend department operations ¿ workloads and financial data. Meets regularly with Respiratory Supervisory group to develop/revise departmental policy and procedure or strategies to reflect department growth and priorities.
Associate college degree in Respiratory Care Technology is required. BS in Health Care is preferred. Minimum of five years experience as a Staff Respiratory Therapist. Prior experience with computer applications and evaluation and design is required. Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist is required.
