Speech Lang Path UHC (SP)
Responsibilities Administers diagnostic and habilitative/rehabilitative services to patients and maintains records pertinent to such services. Observes, evaluates and treats speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders and discusses with supervisor. Develops treatment plans. Communicates effectively and appropriately with others through verbal, written and non-verbal means. Completes documentation requirements promptly, accurately and thoroughly according to policy. Participates in quality improvement measures and special projects/research for the department.
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required. Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP awarded by ASHA, or currently completing Clinical Fellowship Year. Must be licensed by NC Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Special interest and experience in speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders preferred.
